EDMA MembersWho does EDMA represent? The European Diagnostic Manufacturers Association (EDMA) represents the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry active in Europe. Since its foundation in 1979, the membership of the association has constantly increased. Today, EDMA represents not only 22 national associations, but also 42 leading companies that reinforce the association’s influence and visibility vis-à-vis the European institutions. National Association Members (NAMs) Most diagnostic companies are members of one or more national industry associations. Through these national associations, EDMA represents more than 500 companies and 700 legal entities. EDMA particularly encourages the formation of trade associations in Central and Eastern Europe and their integration into the association. Corporate Associate Members (CAMs) Companies that wish to benefit from EDMA activities more directly can also join the association as Corporate Associate Members. Interested companies need to satisfy the criteria of Article 5 of the EDMA Statutes. In particular, they must be engaged – either themselves or through affiliated companies – in the research, development, manufacture or distribution of in vitro diagnostic products in Europe. Why become an EDMA member?
