EDMA launches brand new WebsiteBrussels, 15 February 2012 – Following the announcement and implementation of its brand new logo and tagline in November 2011, EDMA is pleased to announce the launching of its accompanying new website, completing a comprehensive rebranding exercise. Fresh, sleek, modern but also with a focus on user-friendliness, the new-look website will be a vital component in EDMA’s future ambitions as it seeks to capitalise on the growing importance of in vitro diagnostics in healthcare debates in such areas as Chronic Diseases, Healthcare Associated Infections and Companion Diagnostics. The website has been designed specifically with the dual purpose of being an effective means in which to spread EDMA’s advocacy messages to all relevant stakeholders, as well as to continue delivering high-quality services to its current and potential future members. Alongside the rebranded website, EDMA will be launching a Regulatory Affairs blog that will serve to ensure that EDMA members are regularly updated on the revision of the IVD Directive. The planned blog will create an entirely new and fresh line of communication between EDMA and its members. “The new website is sure to inject EDMA with a new energy and creative dynamism’’, said EDMA President Dr Jürgen Schulze. “With the review of the IVD Directive underway and a number of other important initiatives such as EUnetHTA Joint Action 2 this move is extremely timely. 2012 is indeed going to be an exciting and intense year for the association.’’ Dr Schulze concluded: “through this new website I expect EDMA’s image and activities to be further highlighted as it works tirelessly to address the opportunities and challenges presented to our industry.’’ About EDMA: EDMA is the industry association representing the interests of the In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) industry throughout Europe.
